White Car’s approach to music production is unique to say the least. Taking cues from a variety of sources ranging from filmmaking to abstract art, his take on IDM seems to bare more in common with cinema verite than traditional songcraft.
The Ingrahm is no exception to this rule as White Car introduces us to an alien land and the creatures that inhabit its stark yet beautiful reality. Lush synth lines and complicated rhythms lead the listener on a journey through the three vignettes where we encounter Gossimr, Berr, and Albitross on their quest for the elusive Ingrahm. The story arc concludes in the epic 11-minute title track.
